Delete your data
Your pets' records live on your iPhone and in your own iCloud, never with us. So you delete them yourself, right away, with no account to close, no form and no waiting.
Settings means the Settings screen inside Paw Crew, which opens from the profile button at the top of Today or Pets. The Settings app is your iPhone's.
Delete one log
Right after logging, tap Undo on the message at the bottom of the screen. Later, swipe the log on Today or on the pet's timeline and delete it. In a shared household, the log disappears for everyone.
Delete a pet
Open the Pets tab, choose the pet, and delete it. Its logs, Observations, reminders, med courses, records, weight, supplies, expenses and photos go with it, on every device signed in to your iCloud and for everyone you share that pet with.
Delete everything in the app
The fastest and most complete way. It works the same whether or not you have Paw Crew Pro.
- Open SettingsIn Paw Crew, tap the profile button at the top of Today or Pets to open Settings.
- Choose Delete all dataGo to Settings > Delete all data. Paw Crew explains what will be deleted.
- ConfirmConfirm the deletion. Paw Crew deletes everything on this iPhone, your Paw Crew data in iCloud and the households you share with others.
- Check your other devicesYour other iPhones signed in to the same Apple Account empty themselves the next time they sync.
What Delete all data removes
- Everything stored on this iPhone: pets, logs, Observations, reminders, med courses, records, weight, supplies, expenses and receipts, contacts, documents, notes, photos, streaks and milestones and your Paw Crew settings, including the theme synced through iCloud and your household notification choices.
- Your Paw Crew data in your iCloud, in Apple's private CloudKit database, so it is gone from all your devices.
- Paw Crew entries in iPhone search, which the app indexes on your device only.
- The copy on your Apple Watch and any iPad signed in to the same Apple Account, the next time they sync.
- Every household share you own, including temporary sitter invites. The people you invited lose access to those pets and logs.
- Every reminder, not logged yet nudge and Live Activity waiting on this iPhone.
- Vet reports, sitter sheets, lost-pet cards and CSV or JSON exports that Paw Crew prepared for sharing and still holds on this iPhone. Copies you already sent or saved elsewhere are not affected.
What it does not touch
- Your Paw Crew Pro purchase. It belongs to your Apple Account, so Restore Purchases brings it back. Deleting your data does not refund Pro; refunds go through Apple.
- Other people's pets and logs. Pets someone else shares with you belong to them: Delete all data removes them from your iPhone and stops syncing them to you, but the owner keeps them, including the logs you added.
- Copies inside older iPhone backups, which Apple keeps until they are replaced or you delete them.
- Anything about this website, which is separate. See the website section below.
Deleting is permanent. We have no copy, so we cannot bring anything back. If you want a record first, make a vet report or export your data with Paw Crew Pro.
Delete it from iCloud settings
You can also delete Paw Crew's iCloud data without opening the app.
- Open the Settings app and tap your name, then iCloud.
- Tap Manage Storage, or Storage and then Manage, depending on your iOS version.
- Find Paw Crew in the list, then delete its data from iCloud and confirm.
This deletes your Paw Crew data from iCloud on all your devices. The copy on each iPhone stays until you delete the app or use Delete all data there.
Pausing sync instead
To stop syncing without deleting anything, turn off iCloud for Paw Crew in the Settings app, under your name, then iCloud. Your records stay on this iPhone and in iCloud as they were.
Leave a shared household
If someone else shared their pets with you, open household sharing in Paw Crew and leave. Their pets and logs leave your iPhone straight away, and you stop getting their household notifications.
The logs you added to their pets stay in the owner's iCloud, with your name on them, because they are part of the owner's records. Ask the owner if you want any removed.
If you own the household
Open household sharing to remove one person or to stop sharing with everyone. They lose access to your pets and logs, and their iPhones stop getting your household's notifications. The logs they added stay in your records, with their names on them. Your own records are not affected.
When a temporary sitter invite ends
A sitter invite made with Paw Crew Pro ends after the last day you chose. Your Paw Crew then removes the sitter from the share the next time it runs, including in the background, and the shared pets leave the sitter's iPhone. The logs the sitter added stay in your records. To end it sooner, remove the sitter yourself.
Delete the app
Deleting Paw Crew from your iPhone removes everything stored on that iPhone, its waiting reminders and its entries in iPhone search. Removing the iPhone app also removes the Apple Watch app.
Deleting the app does not remove your iCloud copy. It stays, and comes back if you install Paw Crew again. To remove it as well, use Settings > Delete all data before deleting the app, or delete it from iCloud settings afterwards.
This website
pawcrew.app has no accounts and never receives anything you log in the app.
If you accepted the cookie banner, Google Analytics counted your visits. Use Cookie settings at the foot of any page to withdraw that, and clear this site's cookies in your browser to remove the ones already set.
If you wrote to us, we hold your email. Ask privacy@pawcrew.app to delete it and we will, unless the law requires us to keep it.
