Reminders
Pet care reminders that work
Paw Crew reminds your household about meals, meds, walks, vaccines and supplies with notifications scheduled on your own iPhone. They fire on time, stay right when the clocks change, and let you mark done, snooze or skip without opening the app. In a shared household, everyone can also hear when a job is done or still waiting. Missed reminders are the most common complaint about pet care apps, so this is where Paw Crew starts.

Schedules
Any routine your pets have
- Several times a day at set times, such as breakfast at 7:00 and dinner at 18:00.
- Every few hours, for routines that run around the clock.
- Every few days, weekly on chosen days, or monthly on a date.
- Courses of medication with a start, an end date or a number of doses, and a Course complete state when they finish.
- Vaccines, flea and tick treatment, deworming and checkups, each with its next due date.
On the notification
Mark done, snooze or skip
Mark done
Writes the log entry with the time and your name, without opening the app.
Snooze
Snooze for 15 minutes or an hour when your hands are full.
Skip
Skip this one when it does not apply today. It is noted, and the next one stays on schedule.
For the whole household
Done, still waiting, running low
Included at launch and free, alongside your own reminders.
Someone logged it
With household sharing, choose to get a quiet notification when someone else logs, such as Anna fed Miso. Set it per person and per care type; only meds are on at first.
Not logged yet
If a routine item is not logged by its time plus a short grace period, each person gets one nudge, such as Dinner for Miso isn't logged yet. It clears for everyone as soon as one person logs it.
Supplies running low
Track food, litter, meds and treats. Paw Crew estimates the days left from what you log, reminds you before a supply runs out, and starts again when you tap Restocked.
Next dose countdown
When a med dose is due within 8 hours, a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island counts down to it, and ends when the dose is logged or skipped.
Built to be reliable
What makes them fire on time
Scheduled on your iPhone
Reminders and nudges are local notifications. They do not depend on a server of ours, because there is none. For household notifications, Apple's iCloud sends a silent push to say something changed, and your iPhone shows the notification itself.
Past the iOS limit
iOS holds a limited number of scheduled notifications per app. Paw Crew keeps a rolling window filled and tops it up when you open the app and in the background.
Time zones and daylight saving
Schedules stay right when the clocks change. When your time zone changes, the Reminders tab shows it and lets you adjust your schedules if you want them to follow you.
Meds break through Focus
Medication reminders use Time Sensitive notifications, so they can come through a Focus if you allow it. Everything else stays quieter.
Asked at the right moment
Paw Crew asks for permission when you create your first reminder. If notifications are off, a banner on Today links to Settings. Live Activities need no extra permission, and you can turn them off in the Settings app.
Honest limits
Reminders can still fail
A phone that is off, notifications turned off in Settings, a Focus, or a fresh restore can stop a reminder from arriving. For critical medication, do not rely on any app alone.
