Everything Paw Crew does

Features of the shared pet care log

Paw Crew is a log and a set of reminders, made for a household that shares its pets. Here is every part of it, on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. All of it is in the launch version.

The Day Ledger

One ruled page per pet, per day: what carried over, what's done and by whom, the Now line, and what's still to come.

  • Reads top to bottom in the order things happen, so the day makes sense at a glance.
  • Anything overdue carries over to the top with a highlighter stroke and the lateness spelled out. Never an alarm.
  • Every done entry is signed, like a page in a notebook: by Anna, by you.
  • The Now line cuts the page at the current minute. Above it, everything is signed. Below it, everything is still open.
  • Each pet has its own ink colour, and every state is a word plus a mark, never colour alone.
The Day Ledger for Miso: 3 of 5 done, a flea treatment 2 days late, Breakfast and Meds signed by Anna, Water by you, then the Now line

One-tap logging, with Undo

Tap Fed, Meds, Water, Litter, Walk or Grooming on the Now line. It's logged at this minute, and Undo is right there.

  • The quick-log buttons sit on the Now line, so a tap logs at this minute.
  • Hold a button to log an earlier time: fed at 7:40, walked at 6:15.
  • Undo appears straight after every log, and any entry can be edited later.
  • Add a note or a photo to any entry. Paw Crew records who logged it.
  • With Paw Crew Pro, create your own log types and icons for anything the built-in ones miss.
The Log for Miso sheet: pick Fed, Meds, Water, Litter or Grooming, now or at an earlier time

Reminders that work

Feeding, meds, walks and due dates on the schedule you set, right across time zones and daylight saving. Mark done from the notification.

  • Every few hours, at set times each day, weekly, monthly on a date, or every so many days.
  • Stays right when you travel across time zones and when the clocks change.
  • Mark done, snooze for 15 minutes or an hour, or skip, straight from the notification. Mark done writes the log without opening the app.
  • Meds reminders are marked Time Sensitive, so they can reach you through a Focus that allows them.
  • Paw Crew asks for notification permission when you create your first reminder, not before.
  • Every reminder is a local notification, scheduled on your iPhone. Nothing goes through a server.
The Reminders tab: six due, a late flea treatment first, then walks, dinners and meds for Miso and Biscuit

Med courses

A name, a schedule, and an end date or a number of doses. Paw Crew counts what's left and says when the course is complete.

  • The medication name is free text, written the way your vet wrote it.
  • Set a schedule and an end date, or a number of doses. Paw Crew counts the doses left.
  • When the last dose is logged, the course shows as complete.
  • Paw Crew never works out a dose. It reminds you of the one your vet gave you.
The Health tab: a late flea treatment, a rabies booster coming up, and a med course with 22 of 28 doses given

Health records, ready for the vet

Vaccines, flea treatments, deworming, checkups, med courses and weight, each with its due date, ready to hand your vet as a PDF report.

  • Track vaccines, flea and tick treatment, deworming and checkups, each with a due date.
  • Due dates use the same reminders as everything else, so nothing waits until the vet asks.
  • Each record keeps its date and your note, so the history is there when you need it.

Observations

A quick log for things you notice, such as vomited, limping, ate half or drank a lot, with the time, a note and an optional photo. Kept exactly as you wrote it.

  • Pick from a short list or type your own words, with the time, a note and an optional photo.
  • Observations sit on the Day Ledger with the name of whoever logged them, so the household knows what was noticed and when.
  • Paw Crew never interprets, scores or rates an observation, and never suggests what it might mean. It is a record for you and your vet.
  • If something worries you, call your vet. Paw Crew doesn't provide veterinary advice.
  • Free, for every pet.

Weight

Log weigh-ins in kilograms or pounds and see them as a list and a simple chart.

  • Log weight in kilograms or pounds. The unit follows your iPhone's region.
  • See every weigh-in as a list and a simple chart.
  • Add an optional target weight, such as one your vet suggested.
Miso's profile: Share and Print tools above the pet's timeline

Contacts

Your vet, the emergency vet, the sitter and the groomer, one tap away.

  • Cards for your vet, emergency vet, sitter and groomer.
  • Tap to call, or to get directions.
The Pets tab: Miso the cat and Biscuit the beagle, with the vet clinic's contact below

Widgets and Siri

Log a walk from the Home Screen, see the next med on the Lock Screen, or ask Siri. Shortcuts and the Action button too.

  • Home Screen widgets with a button that logs Fed or Walk without opening the app.
  • Lock Screen widgets that show the next med due.
  • Ask Siri to log a walk for Biscuit.
  • Use Paw Crew in Shortcuts and on the Action button.

Live Activities

A walk timer in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen, and a countdown to the next med dose when it is due within 8 hours.

  • Start, pause and finish a walk from the Lock Screen or the Dynamic Island. Finishing logs the walk with its duration.
  • The walk timer records how long, never where. Paw Crew never asks for your location.
  • When a med dose is due within the next 8 hours, a countdown shows until it is logged or skipped.
  • Live Activities are updated on your iPhone. No push server is involved.
  • Free, for every pet.

Household sharing, included

Invite the people you live with, or a sitter, through iCloud sharing. Share one pet or all of them. Everyone sees who did what, and nobody makes an account.

  • Included at launch, in the free app. It is not a paid extra.
  • Invite family or a sitter from Apple's sharing screen, through Messages, Mail, AirDrop or a link. They use the Apple Account already on their iPhone; nobody signs up with us.
  • Share one pet or all your pets. You see who is in, can make someone view only, and can remove anyone. Anyone you invite can leave.
  • Every log carries a name, such as Anna fed Miso at 7:42, taken from the person's iCloud name. You can change how a name shows in your household.
  • If two people log the same feeding within 30 minutes, Paw Crew asks before keeping both, so nobody feeds the cat twice.
Household settings: Miso and Biscuit shared, Invite or Manage People beside each, and Share All Pets

Household notifications

When someone logs, the others can get a quiet notification, such as Anna fed Miso. If a routine item is not logged on time, everyone gets one nudge, and it clears as soon as anyone logs it.

  • Choose per person and per care type who you hear about. Everything is off by default except meds.
  • Not logged yet nudges: if Dinner for Miso is not logged by its time plus a short grace period, each person in the household gets one reminder.
  • The nudge clears on every iPhone as soon as one person logs it.
  • Built on Apple's iCloud change notifications, a silent push from Apple, and local notifications on each iPhone. No server of ours, and the App Store label stays Data Not Collected.
  • Your notification choices stay on your iPhone and never sync to anyone else. Free, with household sharing.

Sitter handoff

Hand a sitter the whole routine at once: a sitter sheet as a PDF, or a temporary invite to your shared pets that ends after the last day you choose.

  • The sitter sheet is built from your routines, meds, contacts, quirks and your vet, with the veterinary disclaimer at the foot.
  • Print it, or send it by AirDrop or Messages, for a sitter who does not use iCloud.
  • Or invite the sitter through Apple's sharing screen and set their last day. The sitter logs on the same page as everyone else until then.
  • After the last day, your Paw Crew removes the sitter from the share the next time it runs, including in the background. A sitter who accepts late keeps the same last day.
  • Part of Paw Crew Pro.
Sitter handoff: choose the pets for a sitter sheet PDF, or give a sitter access until a date you pick

Lost-pet card

One tap makes a Lost poster and a pocket card with your pet's photo, name, microchip number, the phone number you choose and a QR code.

  • The QR code holds only a contact card or a call or text link to the number you choose. Never a link to us or to a website.
  • Export the poster and the card as a PDF or an image, to print or send.
  • Made on your iPhone, and nothing is uploaded. The card shows only what you choose to put on it.
  • Free, for every pet.
The lost-pet card: a poster and pocket cards with the pet's photo, a phone number and a QR code

Supply reminders

Track food, litter, meds and treats. Paw Crew estimates the days left from what you log, such as Kibble runs out in about 5 days.

  • Enter the package size and how much each logged feed or dose uses. The estimate moves as you log.
  • Get a reminder when a supply is about to run out, a few days ahead, as you set it.
  • Bought more? One tap on Restocked starts the count again.
  • The estimate is only as good as the amounts you enter, so it says about, never exactly.
  • Free, for every pet.
Supplies: wet food pouches with about 7 days left, clumping litter, and Gabapentin running low, each with Restocked

Vet expenses

Add a cost to a vet visit, a record, a med course or any log, or on its own, with an optional receipt photo. See the totals by month and by year.

  • Sort costs into vet, medicine, food, grooming, insurance or other.
  • Keep a photo of the receipt with the cost.
  • Monthly and yearly totals for each pet and for the whole household, in your region's currency.
  • Export your expenses as a CSV file for a spreadsheet or your records.
  • Part of Paw Crew Pro.

PDF vet report and export

Meds, med courses, health records, a weight chart, Observations and notes for a date range, as a PDF to hand your vet. Export everything to CSV or JSON as well.

  • Choose a date range and get a clean PDF: meds and med courses, vaccines and other records, a weight chart, Observations exactly as logged, and your notes.
  • Add your vet expenses to the report if you want them there.
  • Every report carries the footer Paw Crew doesn't provide veterinary advice. Always consult your vet.
  • Export all your records, expenses included, as CSV or JSON, so your data is never stuck in the app.
  • Part of Paw Crew Pro.
Vet report and export: choose the pets and the dates, then create a PDF or a CSV file

Documents and photo journal

Attach vet PDFs, photos and receipts to a pet or a log, follow each pet's history on one timeline, and get a monthly photo recap.

  • Attach vet letters, lab PDFs, photos and receipts to a pet or to any log entry.
  • A timeline for each pet brings logs, records, Observations, weigh-ins and documents together in date order.
  • A monthly photo recap, made on your iPhone from that month's photos.
  • Attachments sync through your own iCloud like everything else.
  • Part of Paw Crew Pro.
The timeline: every log, Observation and health record by date, with who logged it

Streaks, milestones and birthdays

Gentle care streaks with grace days, milestones such as 100 walks, and a card on your pet's birthday and gotcha day.

  • Care streaks count the days the routine was kept, with grace days, so one busy day never breaks it.
  • Nothing ever scolds you. A missed day is just a day.
  • Milestones mark 100 walks, a weight goal reached and one year logged.
  • A birthday or gotcha-day card appears on the day, with an image you can share.
  • Free, for every pet.
The Milestones screen: a one-day care streak, a weight goal reached and a year of logs

Spotlight search

Find a pet, a contact or a document from iPhone search, without opening Paw Crew first.

  • Pets, contacts and documents appear in Spotlight, so searching for your vet's name finds the card.
  • The index is built and kept on your device only.
  • Deleting a pet, or Delete all data, removes its entries from search.
  • Free.

Apple Watch

Log Fed, Meds, Walk or Litter for the selected pet from your wrist, see what's next, and Mark done or Snooze a reminder.

  • A companion app for watchOS 26, working with Paw Crew on your iPhone.
  • Quick log for the selected pet, and the next item due at a glance.
  • Mark done or Snooze a reminder from the watch.
  • A complication on your watch face shows what's next, and the walk timer runs on the wrist too.
  • Reads the same data through your iCloud, so a log on the watch appears in everyone's ledger. Free.

Made for iPad

A sidebar, a two-column Today with your pets beside the ledger, wider pet pages and keyboard shortcuts for quick log.

  • Today shows the pets in a sidebar and the Day Ledger beside them.
  • Pet pages spread across columns on the larger screen.
  • Keyboard shortcuts for every quick-log type, with pointer support.
  • Works in every Stage Manager size.
  • Free, and synced with your iPhone through iCloud.

Three themes, light and dark

Cloud Ink, Mint Press and Rose Quartz, each in light and dark, with every text colour at a 4.5 to 1 contrast or better.

  • Pick a theme in Settings, with a live preview of Today.
  • Light and dark follow your iPhone, unless you choose one.
  • Every text colour passes a 4.5 to 1 contrast ratio in all six combinations.
Paw Crew's Appearance settings: a preview of the Day Ledger above the three themes, Cloud Ink, Mint Press and Rose Quartz

Made for everyone

VoiceOver, Dynamic Type and Reduce Motion are part of the design, not an afterthought.

  • Every control has a VoiceOver label, including the pet switcher and the quick-log buttons.
  • Text follows Dynamic Type. When pet names no longer fit as tabs, the tabs become a menu.
  • Reduce Motion swaps movement for a fade.
  • State is always a word plus a mark, never colour alone, and every target is at least 44 points.

Private by design

No account, no servers of ours, no ads and no tracking. Your pets' records stay on your iPhone and in your own iCloud.

  • No account to create. Paw Crew uses the iCloud account already on your iPhone.
  • No servers of ours. Your records live in your iCloud, in Apple's private CloudKit database.
  • No third-party SDKs, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. The App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected.
  • Delete all data in Settings removes everything: the data on your iPhone, your iCloud data and the shares you own.

What Paw Crew does not do

Paw Crew keeps the record and the routine. Your vet makes the calls.

  • It does not give veterinary advice or medical assessments.
  • It does not work out doses or suggest treatments.
  • It does not rate your pet's health or tell you whether something is serious.
  • It does not show ads, sell anything inside the log, or follow you around the internet.

Paw Crew doesn't provide veterinary advice. Always consult your vet.

The veterinary disclaimer

Free for one pet. Pro is one payment.

Everything above that is not marked Pro is in the free app, household sharing included. Paw Crew Pro is $7.99, once, and covers your family through Family Sharing.
