How it works

How Paw Crew works

Paw Crew gives each pet one ruled page per day, like a ledger. Read it top to bottom and you know what was carried over, what is done and who did it, where you are now, and what is still to come.

Reading the page

One page per pet, per day

The Today screen reads in the same order every time, so a glance is enough.

  1. Pet tabs

Each pet has a tab in its own ink colour. Tap or swipe to move between them.

  2. The day at a glance

The date, how many things are done out of how many are due, and what is next, such as Dinner in about 8 hours.

  3. Carried over

Anything late from earlier sits at the top in its own colour, such as a flea treatment that is 2 days late, until someone logs it or skips it.

  4. Done, and signed

Every finished item shows the time and the name of the person who logged it, so nobody has to ask.

  5. The Now line

A line marks the current minute. Its quick-log buttons, such as Fed, Meds, Water and Walk, log at this minute with your name.

  6. Still to come

Below the Now line are the things due later today, each with its time. When one comes due, the reminder goes out.

Getting started

Set up a pet in a couple of minutes

A guided setup saves as you go. If you stop halfway, it picks up at the same step.

  1. Name and species

Add a name, the species and a photo if you like. Cats and dogs get custom art; every other animal gets its own icon.

  2. The daily routine

Pick feeding times and, depending on the pet, walks, litter or water. You see a preview of the Today page they will make.

  3. Meds and care due

If your pet is on a course of medication, add it with its schedule and end date. Add the next vaccine or flea treatment date too. Both are optional.

  4. Reminders on

Paw Crew asks for notification permission only when you have reminders to send, and shows you which ones first.

Logging

Log it the way that is closest

Every way of logging writes the same entry, with the time and your name.

  • One tap on the Now line

Tap Fed, Meds, Water or Walk. A short message with Undo confirms it.

  • Log for another time

Long-press a quick-log button to pick the time, for when you forgot to log the morning walk.

  • From the reminder

Choose Mark done on the notification. The entry is written without opening the app.

  • From a widget

Add a Paw Crew widget to your Home Screen or Lock Screen and log with one tap.

  • With Siri

Ask Siri to log a feeding or a walk for a pet, hands full or not.

About reminders

Together

When the household shares the page

With household sharing, included at launch, everyone you invite sees the same page and their taps land on it with their names.

  • Signed by whoever did it

Anna fed Miso at 7:42 shows on everyone's page, so nobody has to ask, and a second feeding within 30 minutes gets a gentle check first.

  • Told when it matters

The others can get a quiet notification when someone logs, and one nudge if a routine item is still not logged, which clears as soon as anyone logs it.

  • Sitters included

With Paw Crew Pro, a sitter gets a temporary invite that ends after a last day you choose, or a sitter sheet to print.
