The short version
The Paw Crew app collects no data. There is no account to create, no server of ours, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party code inside the app. On the App Store its privacy label reads Data Not Collected.
Everything you log about your pets is stored on your iPhone and in your own iCloud, in a private database that Apple runs for you and that we cannot open. We never see your pets’ names, your logs, your notes, your photos, your vet’s details or who in your home did what.
If you share pets with your household, the people you invite see those pets and their logs. That sharing runs through Apple’s iCloud sharing, not through us, and it is part of the app from launch.
Reminders are scheduled by your own iPhone. Household notifications (“Anna fed Miso”) are local notifications too: Apple’s iCloud sends your iPhone a silent push that says something changed, and your iPhone shows the notification itself. Live Activities, such as the walk timer, are updated on your iPhone. The walk timer records how long, never where. Crash reports reach us only if you chose to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone’s settings, and then Apple sends them, without your name.
Paw Crew Pro is a one-time purchase through Apple. Apple takes the payment. We never receive your name, your Apple Account or your card.
This website is simple too. Our host keeps basic server logs for a short time. Google Analytics loads only if you click Yes, count it on the cookie banner, and a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal counts as a no.
We do not sell or share personal information. There are no ads in the app or on this website.
Paw Crew doesn’t provide veterinary advice. Always consult your vet.
The rest of this page is the detail. Sections 3 to 10 are about the app and section 11 is about the website, because they work very differently.
1. Who we are
The Paw Crew app and the website pawcrew.app are published by Kallos Labs LLC (“Kallos Labs”, “we”, “us”). For data protection purposes Kallos Labs LLC is the controller of the small amount of personal data described in sections 8 to 11: the reports Apple gives developers, support email, website server logs and website analytics with your consent.
Registered address: 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE, Ste R, Albuquerque, NM 87110, USA.
Contact for anything on this page: privacy@pawcrew.app. General support: support@pawcrew.app.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers two things that handle information in very different ways:
- The Paw Crew app for iPhone and iPad, its companion app for Apple Watch, its widgets, its notification actions and its Siri and Shortcuts actions. Sections 3 to 10.
- The website pawcrew.app, including its guides. Section 11.
It does not cover Apple’s services, such as iCloud, the App Store, Siri, Maps or Messages, which Apple runs under its own privacy policy. Where Paw Crew relies on one of them, this page says so and says what that means for you.
Other policies that sit alongside this one: the cookie policy, the app privacy details (how the App Store label maps to the app), privacy requests (how to use your rights) and delete your data.
3. What the app never collects
Paw Crew is built so that nothing you put into it reaches us. In plain terms, the app has:
- No account. You never give us a name, an email address or a password.
- No server of ours. There is no Kallos Labs backend for the app to talk to.
- No third-party SDKs. No analytics kit, no advertising kit, no attribution or install tracking kit, no social media kit and no crash reporting service of our own. The app uses only Apple’s frameworks.
- No analytics inside the app, and no usage events of any kind.
- No ads, on any tier, ever.
- No tracking. The app never links what you do in it with data from other companies’ apps or websites, never uses your advertising identifier and never asks for permission to track you, because there is nothing to ask about.
- No location. The app does not ask for your location. The walk timer records the duration of a walk only, never where you went.
- No contacts access. You type your vet’s details yourself. The app does not read your address book.
- No microphone, no Health app data and no access to your photo library as a whole. See section 6 for how photos work.
None of this depends on whether you have bought Paw Crew Pro.
4. What the app stores, and where
4.1 What lives in the app
| What | Detail |
|---|---|
| Your pets | Name, species, breed, birthday or adoption day, photo, microchip number and notes |
| Care logs | What was done (for example fed, walked or gave meds), when, an optional note, an optional photo, who logged it, and whether it was logged in the app, from a widget, from a notification or with Siri |
| Routines and reminders | Schedules for feeding, walks, meds and other care, and when each reminder is due |
| Med courses, vaccines and weight | Names, dates, due dates, end conditions and weights, as you enter them. The medication field is free text and the app does no dose calculations. |
| Observations | Things you noticed about a pet, such as “limping” or “ate half”, with the time, an optional note and photo, and who logged it. They are kept exactly as you wrote them; the app never interprets or scores them. |
| Supplies | Food, litter, meds and treats you track: the package size, how much each log uses, what is left, your low-supply threshold and when you last restocked |
| Expenses | Costs you add, with a category, the amount and currency, the date, an optional note, an optional receipt photo and the record it belongs to. This is your own bookkeeping, not payment data: the app never handles a payment. |
| Household members | For a shared household: each person’s display name, their role (owner, can log, or view only) and, for a temporary sitter invite, the date their access ends |
| Contacts for your pets | Your vet, groomer, sitter or anyone else, with the name, phone number, address and notes you type |
| Documents and attachments | Vet PDFs, receipts and photos you attach to a pet or a log (Paw Crew Pro), shown on the pet’s timeline and in the monthly photo recap, which is made on your device |
| Streaks and milestones | Your care streaks, grace days used, milestones reached and birthday or gotcha-day cards, worked out from your own logs |
| Settings | Units, theme, light or dark, notification preferences, the app tour and similar choices. Your household notification choices (who and which care types you hear about, and the nudge grace period) are kept on that iPhone only and never sync to anyone. |
| Your Paw Crew Pro status | Whether this device is entitled to Pro, checked by Apple’s StoreKit on your device. See section 10. |
Some of this can be about people as well as pets: a sitter’s phone number, a vet’s address, the name of a household member who logged a walk, or a note you write. Please only add details about other people that they would expect you to keep.
Your pets’ care records are not human health information. Paw Crew is not a healthcare provider and laws such as HIPAA do not apply to it.
4.2 On your iPhone
The app keeps its data in its own private storage on your iPhone, in a container that it shares only with its own widgets and notification actions so that “Mark done” can work without opening the app. iOS keeps this storage apart from other apps and protects it with your passcode through iOS Data Protection. Your iPhone backup, if you use one, includes it under Apple’s terms, not ours.
4.3 In your iCloud
If you are signed in to iCloud, Paw Crew keeps a copy of your data in your own iCloud account, in the app’s CloudKit private database, so it syncs to your other devices and survives a new phone. This is how that works:
- Apple runs it, for you. iCloud is a service Apple provides to you under your agreement with Apple. The data sits in your iCloud storage and counts toward your iCloud storage plan.
- We cannot read it. A developer has no way to open, browse, query or export what is in a user’s CloudKit private database. We have no copy, no backup and no dashboard showing it. We could not hand it to anyone, because we cannot reach it.
- Apple’s role. For your iCloud data Apple acts as the provider of a storage and sync service you use, under your agreement with Apple and Apple’s privacy policy. We do not send your data to Apple and Apple does not process it for us: it works for you.
- Encryption. Apple encrypts iCloud data in transit and at rest. If you turn on Advanced Data Protection for your Apple Account, Apple applies end to end encryption to more categories of iCloud data, as Apple describes in its iCloud security overview. Paw Crew relies on this encryption from Apple and does not add a layer of its own on top.
- Small settings sync. Your theme choice syncs through iCloud key value storage, which is part of the same iCloud account. Delete all data clears it.
- Sync signals. To tell your other devices, and the other people in a shared household, that something changed, iCloud uses Apple’s silent push notifications (CloudKit subscriptions). They carry no content from your logs and come from Apple, not from a server of ours. Section 7 explains how household notifications use them.
If you are not signed in to iCloud, or you turn iCloud off for Paw Crew, your data stays only on your iPhone. The app works the same, but nothing syncs.
Apple decides where iCloud data is stored. Apple may store it in data centers outside your country, as its privacy policy explains.
5. Household sharing
Household sharing is part of the app from launch, free for everyone.
You can invite people you live with, a family member or a sitter to share one
pet or all of your pets. Paw Crew uses iCloud sharing for this (Apple’s
CKShare). You send the invitation through Messages, AirDrop, Mail or a link.
No one needs an account with us.
What the people you invite see. Everyone in a share can see the shared pets and everything logged for them: the logs, the times, the notes, the photos, the Observations, the reminders and routines, med courses, vaccines, weights, supplies, contacts and attachments that belong to those pets, and who logged each entry. Expenses linked to a shared pet are visible to the household too. That is the point of a shared log, so please think about what you write in a note on a shared pet.
Roles. The owner sees the list of participants and can let each person log or make them view only, so they can see the shared pets but not add or change anything, whether in the app, with Siri or Shortcuts, from a widget or a notification, or on an Apple Watch.
Names. The name shown next to an entry (“Anna fed Miso”) comes from the iCloud identity of the person who logged it. The owner can change how a name shows inside the household. Apple’s sharing screens also show the owner of a share and its participants to each other, which can include the name or contact detail each person was invited with.
Duplicate check. If two people log the same feeding for a pet within 30 minutes, the app asks the second person before keeping both. This happens on their iPhone, using the shared log.
Household notifications. Each person can choose to get a notification when someone else logs, and “not logged yet” nudges when a routine item passes its time. How this works is in section 7. These choices are stored on each person’s iPhone and are not shared.
Sitter handoff. With Paw Crew Pro you can invite a sitter through Apple’s sharing screen, using the name, email address or phone number you choose, and set their last day. After that day, your copy of the app removes the sitter from the share the next time it runs, including in the background. A sitter who accepts the invite late keeps the same last day. You can also make a sitter sheet, a PDF built from your routines, meds, contacts, notes and vet details, and send it however you like (section 9).
Where shared data lives. Shared pets live in the iCloud of the person who shares them (the owner) and count toward the owner’s iCloud storage. Each participant’s devices keep a synced copy while they are in the share.
Control. The owner can stop sharing or remove a participant at any time, and a participant can leave a share at any time. When someone leaves, is removed or their temporary invite ends, their devices stop receiving the shared pets and the household’s notifications. The entries they added stay in the owner’s records.
Not shared. Pets you have not shared, and your own settings, stay private to you.
We are not in the middle. Kallos Labs does not see who you share with, what is shared or when. Apple delivers the invitation, syncs the data and sends the silent pushes.
The acceptable use policy covers how to treat the people you share with.
6. Photos, camera and documents
- Choosing a photo. The app uses Apple’s photo picker. You choose a photo, and only that photo is given to the app. The app does not ask for, and does not have, access to the rest of your library.
- Taking a photo. If you take a photo from inside the app, iOS asks you for camera permission the first time. The camera is used only while you are taking that photo.
- Where photos go. Photos of pets and photos on logs are stored with the rest of your data: on your iPhone and, if iCloud is on, in your iCloud as CloudKit assets. Photos on shared pets are visible to everyone in that share.
- Documents and receipts. Files you attach, and receipt photos on expenses, are stored and shared the same way.
We never receive your photos or documents.
7. Notifications, widgets, Siri and search
- Notifications are local. Your reminders, low-supply reminders and “not logged yet” nudges are scheduled by your own iPhone. There is no push notification server of ours and nothing about your reminders is sent to us. The app asks for notification permission when you create your first reminder, not before.
- Household notifications. In a shared household, when someone logs, Apple’s iCloud sends the other iPhones a silent push (a CloudKit change notification) that carries no content from your logs. Each iPhone then fetches the change from iCloud and, if its owner asked for it, shows a local notification such as “Anna fed Miso”. A pending “not logged yet” nudge is cancelled the same way when someone logs the item. Apple delivers the silent push under its own terms; we never see it. This is why the App Store label stays Data Not Collected.
- What a notification shows. A reminder can show a pet’s name and the task, for example “Miso’s dinner is due”, including on the Lock Screen. You can hide previews in iOS Settings, Notifications.
- Notification actions. “Mark done”, “Snooze” and “Skip” are handled on your iPhone and write to the app’s own storage.
- Widgets. Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets read from the app’s storage on your iPhone.
- Live Activities. The walk timer and the next dose countdown appear on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. The app starts, updates and ends them on your iPhone; there is no push server for them. The walk timer records only how long a walk took, and finishing it logs the walk. You can turn Live Activities off in iOS Settings.
- Siri and Shortcuts. When you ask Siri to log something, Apple processes the request under Apple’s Siri privacy terms and hands the app the result. We do not receive what you said.
- Spotlight search. The app adds pets, contacts and documents to iPhone and iPad search. That index is built and kept on your device by iOS, is never sent to us, and is removed when you delete a pet or use Delete all data.
- Apple Watch. The Apple Watch app reads the same data as the iPhone app, through the app’s shared storage and your own iCloud, on your own devices. A log or a Mark done on the watch syncs to your iPhone and to your household the same way as one made on the iPhone. The walk timer on the watch records duration only, and the watch app does not ask for your location or your health data.
- iPad. On iPad the app is the same app, with the same data, synced through your iCloud.
- Calls and directions. Tapping a contact’s phone number or address hands it to the Phone or Maps app, which Apple runs under its own terms.
8. Crash diagnostics
Paw Crew has no crash reporting service of its own. There are two ways diagnostic information exists:
- MetricKit on your iPhone. iOS gives the app summaries of crashes, hangs and performance through Apple’s MetricKit framework. The app uses them on the device and does not send them to us or anyone else.
- Apple’s own crash sharing. If you turned on Share With App Developers in iOS Settings, Privacy and Security, Analytics and Improvements, Apple may send us crash logs and basic diagnostics for Paw Crew, such as the app version, the iOS version, the device model and the code that failed. Apple collects this under its own privacy policy and gives it to us through its developer tools without your name or Apple Account. You can turn it off in the same place at any time.
The same iOS setting also lets Apple give developers aggregated statistics, such as how many people installed the app or how many sessions it had across all users. These are counts, provided by Apple, that we cannot connect to you.
We use crash reports and these statistics only to fix bugs and understand whether the app is working, under our legitimate interest in making the app reliable.
9. Exports and what you choose to send
- PDF vet reports and CSV or JSON exports (Paw Crew Pro) are created on your iPhone. A report covers the date range you choose and can include your Observations as logged and, if you choose, your expenses. You choose where they go with the iOS share sheet. Once you send one, the app or person you sent it to has it. The copy the app prepares for sending stays in its temporary folder on your iPhone until iOS clears it or you use Delete all data.
- Expense exports. With Paw Crew Pro, your expenses can be exported as a CSV file, made on your iPhone and sent only where you choose.
- The sitter sheet (Paw Crew Pro) is a PDF made on your iPhone from your routines, meds, contacts, notes and vet details. Only the people you give it to have it.
- The lost-pet card. The poster and pocket card are made on your iPhone as a
PDF or an image, with the photo, name, microchip number and phone number you
choose. The QR code on them holds only a contact card (vCard) or a call or text
link (
tel:orsms:) to the number you choose, never a link to us or to any website. Nothing is uploaded. Anyone who sees the card or scans the code can read what you put on it, which is its purpose, so choose a number you are happy to share. - Emailing us. If you write to support@pawcrew.app or privacy@pawcrew.app we receive whatever you put in the email, your email address and your name if your email program sends it. Please do not paste records you do not need to.
10. Paw Crew Pro and purchases
Paw Crew Pro is a one-time in-app purchase ($7.99 in the US; Apple sets the price in other countries). There are no subscriptions. The details are in the purchase terms.
- Apple handles the payment. Your card, billing address and Apple Account stay with Apple. We never receive them. Apple acts under its own privacy policy as the seller of record.
- The check happens on your iPhone. Apple’s StoreKit tells the app whether your device is entitled to Pro, and the app verifies Apple’s signed record on the device. No purchase information goes to a server of ours, because there is none.
- Restore Purchases asks Apple for your purchase history again. It restores Pro. It does not restore any logs, because those live in your iCloud.
- Family Sharing. If you use Apple’s Family Sharing, Apple may make Pro available to your family members under Apple’s rules.
- Refunds are requested from and decided by Apple.
- What Apple gives us. Apple gives developers sales and payout reports, such as the number of purchases by country and the amounts due to us. These reports do not include your name, your email address or your Apple Account.
11. The website
This section covers pawcrew.app and every page on it, including the guides.
11.1 What the website collects
The website has no accounts, no sign up, no forms and no comments. You cannot type anything into it that is sent to us. To contact us you email us, and section 9 applies to that email.
What the website collects is limited to the server logs in 11.2 and, only if you accept, the analytics in 11.3.
11.2 Hosting and server logs
Processor: Vercel Inc., which hosts the website.
Like every web server, Vercel records each request so it can deliver the page and protect the site from abuse: your IP address, your browser’s user agent, the page or file requested, the referring page, the time and the response. Vercel keeps these logs only for the short period its service sets and then deletes them. We use them only to run and secure the site, and we do not combine them with anything else. We do not use Vercel Web Analytics or Speed Insights.
11.3 Google Analytics, only with your consent
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read. It is set up like this:
- Nothing loads until you click “Yes, count it”. If you click “No thanks”, or ignore the banner, the Google Analytics script is never loaded and no analytics cookie is set.
- We honour Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. If your browser sends either signal, we treat it as a no and do not load analytics, whatever was chosen before.
- What it collects, once you accept: pages viewed, how you arrived (for example the referring site), approximate location derived from your IP address, device type, browser, screen size and basic engagement such as time on page. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses.
- What it does not do: Google Signals, advertising features, ad personalisation and remarketing are all off. We do not use it to identify you and we do not combine it with anything from the app, which sends us nothing.
- Cookies:
_gaand_ga_<container-id>, each lasting up to two years. The cookie policy has the details. - Retention: Google Analytics keeps the event data for the retention period set in our property, which is never longer than 14 months, and then deletes it. Reports made from that data contain counts, not people.
Google processes this data as our processor under Google’s data processing terms. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings button in the website footer.
11.4 Your consent choice
Your choice is remembered in your own browser’s local storage, under the key
pawcrew-consent, so the banner does not ask on every page. It is never sent to
us. It lasts 12 months, then the banner asks again. It also ends if you change it
or clear your browser’s site data.
11.5 Links
Guides and pages may link to other websites, such as Apple’s support pages. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
12. Sharing and selling
We do not sell or share personal information, in any sense of those words, including “sale” and “sharing” for cross context behavioural advertising under California law. We do not give data to advertisers, data brokers, insurers, pet product companies or anyone else.
The only companies that process personal data for us, and only for the purposes on this page:
| Who | What for | Role | Section |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vercel Inc. | Hosting the website | Our processor | 11.2 |
| Google LLC (Google Analytics 4) | Website analytics, only after you accept | Our processor | 11.3 |
| Our email hosting provider | Receiving and storing email to support@pawcrew.app and privacy@pawcrew.app | Our processor | 9 |
A current list of the named providers is available on request from privacy@pawcrew.app. We require each of them to protect personal data in line with this policy and the law.
Apple is not on that list on purpose. Apple runs iCloud, the App Store, StoreKit, Siri and crash sharing for you under its own privacy policy. It does not receive anything from us about you.
We would disclose information if the law required us to. For the app we would have nothing to disclose: your pets’ records are in your iCloud, not with us. If Kallos Labs LLC were ever sold or merged, the same would be true, and any successor would be bound by the commitments on this page for the information we do hold.
13. How long we keep things
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Your data in the app | Until you delete it. It is yours, on your iPhone and in your iCloud. We never delete it for you and we never had it. |
| Shared pets | Until the owner stops sharing, removes you or deletes them, you leave the share, or a temporary sitter invite passes its last day |
| Crash reports and statistics from Apple | As long as Apple keeps them available in its developer tools. We do not export or copy them. |
| Sales reports from Apple | As long as tax and accounting rules require, typically several years |
| Website server logs | A short period set by Vercel, see 11.2 |
| Website analytics | The retention period in 11.3. The cookies last up to two years unless you clear them or withdraw consent. |
| Your consent choice | In your browser until you change it or clear it |
| Support and privacy emails | As long as we need them to deal with your request. If you ask us to delete them, we do so within 30 days of confirming your request, unless we need them for an open dispute or the law requires us to keep them longer |
14. Deleting your data
You can delete everything in the app yourself, at any time, without asking us and whether or not you have Paw Crew Pro.
- One log, or one pet: delete it in the app. It is removed from your iPhone and your iCloud, and from the devices of anyone you share that pet with.
- Everything: Settings, Delete all data. After a confirmation step this deletes the app’s data on your iPhone, the app’s data in your iCloud and any shares you own, removes the app’s entries from iPhone search and empties the folder of exports prepared for sending. Your Apple Watch and iPad copies empty themselves when they next sync. People you shared with lose access to those pets.
- Deleting the app removes the data on that iPhone, but not the copy in your iCloud. Use Delete all data first if you want it gone everywhere.
- Leaving someone else’s share removes their pets from your devices and stops their household notifications. The owner’s data stays with the owner. If you use Delete all data while someone else shares pets with you, the app also removes those shared pets from your iPhone and stops syncing them to you; the owner’s pets and logs, including the logs you added, stay with the owner.
- If the owner removes you, the result is the same as leaving: the shared pets leave your devices and the logs you added stay with the owner.
- Removing someone from your share, as the owner, stops their access and their notifications for your pets. The logs they added stay in your records, with their name on them, until you delete them.
- When a temporary sitter invite ends, the owner’s app removes the sitter from the share after the last day, the next time it runs. The shared pets leave the sitter’s devices; the logs the sitter added stay with the owner.
Step by step instructions are on the delete your data page. Deleting your data does not refund Paw Crew Pro; refunds go through Apple.
15. Your rights
You have rights over your personal data. Because the app sends us nothing, almost all of them are things you can do yourself, straight away, in the app. For the rest, see privacy requests or email privacy@pawcrew.app.
15.1 EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland
If you are in the EU, the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, the GDPR, the UK GDPR or the Swiss data protection law gives you the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy,
- correct it if it is wrong,
- erase it,
- restrict how we use it,
- object to how we use it, including where we rely on legitimate interests,
- port it, meaning receive it in a usable format,
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent, without affecting what happened before,
- and complain to a data protection authority (section 19).
The legal bases we rely on:
| Processing | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Your data in the app | Not processed by us. It stays on your devices and in your iCloud, under your control. |
| Crash reports and statistics Apple gives us (section 8) | Our legitimate interests in fixing bugs and keeping the app reliable, Article 6(1)(f). Apple asks for your permission before it shares them. |
| Sales reports from Apple (section 10) | Our legal obligations for tax and accounting, Article 6(1)(c) |
| Website server logs (11.2) | Our legitimate interests in delivering the website and keeping it secure, Article 6(1)(f) |
| Google Analytics on the website (11.3) | Your consent, Article 6(1)(a), given by clicking “Yes, count it” and withdrawn in Cookie settings |
| Answering your emails | Our legitimate interest in answering you, Article 6(1)(f), and our legal obligations where your email is a statutory request, Article 6(1)(c) |
We do not make decisions about you by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects.
15.2 California
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of its sale or sharing, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and not to be treated differently for using these rights.
What that means here, for the last 12 months:
- Categories we collected: identifiers and internet activity from website visits (an IP address in server logs and, only with your consent, analytics data); the contents of any email you send us. We collected nothing through the app.
- Sources: your browser, your email and Apple’s developer reports.
- Purposes: running and securing the website, understanding which pages are useful, answering you and meeting legal obligations.
- Disclosed for a business purpose to: the processors in section 12.
- Sold or shared: none. We have not sold or shared personal information and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
- Sensitive personal information: none.
We honour Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track as an opt out on the website. You can use an authorised agent; see privacy requests.
California’s “Shine the Light” law lets you ask about disclosures to third parties for their direct marketing. We make none.
15.3 Other US states
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws, including Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia, have similar rights: to confirm whether we process your personal data, to access, correct and delete it, to get a portable copy, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale and profiling. We do not do targeted advertising, sale or profiling. If we turn down a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer, and if you are not satisfied with the appeal you can contact your state attorney general.
Nevada residents: we do not sell covered information.
15.4 Everyone else
Wherever you live, we offer the same rights and the same answers. Whether or not a particular law applies to a business our size, you can ask us anything on this page and we will answer it.
16. Children
Paw Crew is a household app for looking after pets. It is not directed at children under 13, and this website is not directed at children either.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13, so the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) has nothing to act on: there is no account, no sign up and nothing sent to us from the app.
A child in your household might use Paw Crew on a family iPhone, or be invited to a shared pet by a parent. Apple’s own rules for children’s Apple Accounts, Family Sharing and Ask to Buy apply to that. If you are a parent or guardian and you have a question, email privacy@pawcrew.app. The quickest remedy is on the device: Settings, Delete all data, or remove the child from the share.
Paw Crew is rated 4+ on the App Store.
17. Security
- The app’s data sits in iOS’s private app storage, protected by your passcode through iOS Data Protection.
- iCloud data is encrypted by Apple in transit and at rest, and more of it is end to end encrypted if you turn on Advanced Data Protection (section 4.3).
- Purchases are verified with Apple’s signed records on the device.
- The website is served over HTTPS only, with strict security headers.
- Kallos Labs has no copy of your app data, so there is no Kallos Labs database of pet records to lose in a breach.
No system is perfect. If we learn of a security issue that affects you, we will fix it, and tell you and the authorities where the law requires. To report a security issue, email support@pawcrew.app.
18. International users and transfers
Kallos Labs LLC is based in the United States, and so are the processors in section 12. The website’s server logs and analytics, and any email you send us, may therefore be processed in the United States.
Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards: an adequacy decision where one exists, including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions for a recipient certified under it, or otherwise standard contractual clauses (with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum) in our providers’ data processing terms, with supplementary measures as needed. You can ask us for a copy of the relevant safeguard at privacy@pawcrew.app.
Your app data does not travel to us at all. Where Apple stores your iCloud data is set out in Apple’s privacy policy.
19. Contact and complaints
privacy@pawcrew.app for privacy questions and requests. support@pawcrew.app for everything else.
Kallos Labs LLC 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE, Ste R, Albuquerque, NM 87110, USA
A person reads every message. We reply as quickly as we can and deal with requests within the time the law requires (see privacy requests).
If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to a regulator:
- In the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
- In the EU and EEA, the data protection authority where you live or work.
- In Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
- In California, the California Privacy Protection Agency or the California Attorney General.
- In other US states, your state attorney general.
We would rather hear from you first, because we can usually fix it.
20. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the dates at the top. If a change matters, for example if the app ever began to send anything off your device, we will say so in the app and on this website before it takes effect, and where the law requires we will ask for your consent rather than treating silence as agreement. The App Store privacy label would change at the same time.
Previous versions are available on request.
