# Privacy Requests

Last updated October 27, 2026. Effective October 27, 2026. Published by Kallos Labs LLC. Canonical URL: https://pawcrew.app/data-requests

## The short version

You have the right to see, correct, delete and take away your personal data, and
to say no to how it is used. With Paw Crew you can do most of that yourself, right
now, because your pets' records are on your iPhone and in **your own iCloud**. We
hold none of it, so there is nothing for us to look up, send or delete.

What we can hold is small: emails you send us, short lived website logs, website
analytics if you said yes, and the anonymous reports Apple gives developers. For
any of that, email **privacy@pawcrew.app**. It is free, and you do not need a
reason.

## 1. Do it yourself in the app

These work at any time, with or without Paw Crew Pro, and take effect immediately.

| What you want | How |
| - | - |
| See everything the app holds | Open the app. Everything it stores is what you see in it. |
| Get a copy (access and portability) | Export a PDF vet report or a CSV or JSON file with Paw Crew Pro, or open your records in the app on any of your devices |
| Correct something | Edit the log, pet, reminder or contact in the app |
| Delete one item | Delete the log, pet, reminder or contact in the app |
| Delete everything | Settings, **Delete all data**. Removes the app's data on your iPhone, in your iCloud and any shares you own. See [delete your data](https://pawcrew.app/delete-data). |
| Stop sharing with someone | Open the shared pet's sharing settings and remove them, or stop sharing |
| Leave someone else's share | Open the shared pet's sharing settings and leave |
| Stop syncing to iCloud | iOS Settings, your name, iCloud, then turn off Paw Crew |
| Stop Apple sharing crash reports with us | iOS Settings, Privacy and Security, Analytics and Improvements, turn off Share With App Developers |
| Stop notifications | iOS Settings, Notifications, Paw Crew |

Deleting the app removes its data from that iPhone but not from your iCloud. Use
Delete all data first if you want it gone everywhere.

## 2. Do it yourself on the website

| What you want | How |
| - | - |
| Withdraw analytics consent | **Cookie settings** in the footer, then No thanks. The site deletes the analytics cookies it can reach. |
| Opt out on every visit | Turn on Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track in your browser. We treat either as no. |
| Remove what the site stored in your browser | Clear site data for pawcrew.app in your browser settings |

See the [cookie policy](https://pawcrew.app/cookies) for the details.

## 3. What we might hold about you

| What | Where it comes from | Can we find it? |
| - | - | - |
| Your emails to us | You | Yes, by your email address |
| Website server logs | Your browser, kept briefly by Vercel | Only for a short period and only with the exact IP address and time, which most people do not have |
| Website analytics | Your browser, only after you said yes | Not by name or email. Google Analytics uses a random browser identifier we cannot link to you. Withdrawing consent and clearing cookies is the effective remedy. |
| Crash reports and statistics from Apple | Apple, if you allowed it | No. Apple gives them to us without your name or Apple Account. |
| Sales reports from Apple | Apple | No. They contain counts and amounts, not people. |

**Your pets, logs, notes, photos, contacts and shares are not on this list**,
because we never receive them. If you ask us for them, we will tell you exactly
that and point you to section 1.

## 4. Asking us

Email **privacy@pawcrew.app** and tell us:

- what you want: access, a copy, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or
  to know what we have,
- which part of this page it is about, for example your emails to us,
- and, if it is not obvious, where you live, so we apply the right law.

**Checking it is you.** We only hold data that is tied to an email address, so we
answer the address the request comes from. If you ask about emails sent from
another address, we will ask you to confirm you control that address. We will
never ask for a password, your Apple Account details or a copy of an identity
document for a request like this.

**Authorised agents.** Someone can make a request for you, such as an authorised
agent under California law. We will ask for your signed permission and may ask
you to confirm the request directly.

**Cost.** Free. We may refuse or charge a reasonable fee only for requests that are
clearly unfounded or excessive, as the law allows, and we will tell you why.

## 5. How long it takes

- A person reads every request. We **acknowledge** it as quickly as we can and
answer it within the time the law requires, as set out below. Where we delete
emails you sent us, we do so within 30 days of confirming your request.
- **EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland:** we answer within **one month**. For a complex
request the law lets us extend this by up to two more months; we will tell you
within the first month if we need to.
- **California:** within **45 days**, extendable once by up to 45 more days with
  notice.
- **Other US states:** within **45 days**, extendable once by up to 45 more days
with notice, as each state law allows.

## 6. If we say no, and how to appeal

If we cannot do what you asked, we will tell you why. Often the reason is simply
that we do not have the data.

You can **appeal** any decision by replying to our answer with the word "appeal".
Someone who did not make the first decision will review it, and we will answer
within 45 days (60 days in Colorado). If you are still not satisfied, you can
contact your state attorney general, or the regulators listed in section 19 of the
[privacy policy](https://pawcrew.app/privacy).

## 7. Data held by Apple and Google

Some services Paw Crew relies on are run by other companies, under their own
policies. We cannot answer requests on their behalf, but here is where to go:

- **Apple** (iCloud, the App Store, purchases, Siri, crash sharing): Apple's Data
and Privacy page at [privacy.apple.com](https://privacy.apple.com), and
  Apple's [privacy policy](https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/).
- **Google** (website analytics, only if you said yes): Google's
  [privacy policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy) and the
[Google Analytics opt out add on](https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

## 8. Data about you in someone else's household

If someone shared a pet with you, the shared pet and its logs live in **their**
iCloud. Your name may appear next to the entries you logged. You can leave the
share at any time, and you can delete your own entries while you are in it.

To have the rest removed, ask the person who shared it: only the owner can delete
the shared pet or stop sharing. We cannot do it for them, because we cannot see or
reach anyone's iCloud data.

## 9. Children

A parent or guardian can make a request for a child. The fastest remedy is on the
child's device or the family iPhone: Settings, Delete all data, or remove the child
from the share. For anything else, email **privacy@pawcrew.app**.
